An Italian automotive designer named Sergio Pininfarina designed the two-door coupe with a metal monocoque body, making it the first ever model not to be designed in-house. The car is known for its angular and sleek lines which is typical for an Italian sedan. It was equipped with a completely automatic split-level air conditioning system which allows different variations of temperature for the upper and lower parts of the interior, which was considered to be the first in the world. Is powered by 6.5L V8 engine which is similar to that of the Silver Shadow, having a GM automatic three speed and reverse with torque converter. The suspension is independent all around with coil springs and telescopic dampers. It has similar platform to that of Silver Shadow and Corniche models. It is 16ft 11 ½ inches in length, 6ft 3 ½ inches in width, 4ft 10inches in height, wheelbase of 10ft, and weighs 5137lbs. The wide grille, headlights and tail lights emphasizes that the Rolls Royce Camargue has a wide body. It can accelerate from 0-60mph in at least 10.9 seconds and has a maximum speed of 118mph.
Like any other Rolls Royce vehicle, the interior is made from the best traditional wood and leather to make it look sophisticated than ever. The car was built without taking into consideration the number of units to be sold.
